ABSTRACT

Compressed air or blast injury to esophagus and resulting esophageal rupture is extremely rare condition. Occasionally we overlooked that condition and failed to treat the patient properly. We experienced 6 year old boy with compressed air to mouth and insidious development of empyema and subsequent discovery of esophago-pleura fistula and we finally confirmed the esophageal rupture.
