ABSTRACT

Neoplasms of the middle ear are relatively uncommon. Glomus tumor is the most common benign neoplasm of the middle ear and called as glomus tympanicum when it is confined to the middle ear. Authors present a case of glomus tympanicum in a 49-year-old woman with eight year history of pulsatile tinnitus, hearing loss, headache and dizziness. We can completely remove the tumor through tympanotomy and atticotomy approach.
