ABSTRACT

Trauma to the pinna, such as occurs in wrestling, can result in a hematoma of the auricele. In spite of early aspiration, recurrence of the hematoma is frequent. But properly applied pressure dressing prevents recurrence of the hematoma. We tried pressure dressing by new device after aspiration or I & D in the treatment of the otohematoma. Fifteen cases were treated with this method and cured completely without any complications. This method seemed to be one of the excellent procedures for treatment of the otohematoma.
