ABSTRACT

The goal of management of tracheal stenosis are reconstruction of cartilagenous framework and mucosal lining after removal of the stenotic area and maintenance of effective tracheal lumen. Various methods have been attempted to treat the tracheal stenosis, but a lot of problems are remain to choose the method of management and to perform the procedure. During the recent 5 years, we experienced 13 cases of tracheal stenosis(membranous stenosis 2 cases, cartilagenous stenosis 6 cases, mixed stenosis 6 cases), and managed by tracheal recomposition, insertion of silicon T-tube, tracheoplasty and end to end anastomosis. So we analysed the result and problems of management.
