A Case of the Leukoplakia on the Tongue

ABSTRACT

Leukoplakia is known as precancerous lesion and is encounted in the larynx and oral cavity. A 22-years old male soldier was admitted in our department on the 14th Aug, 1968. complaining of slight pain on the tongue and foreign body sensation for over 6 years duration. Examination revealed grayish white, multiple, irregular and papillary shaped tumor mass in size of 5.5 cm×3 cm×0.5 cm on base of the tongue. Extirpation of the tumor mass was performed on 9th admission day. Post operative course was uneventful. Histopathological examination revealed Leukoplakia.
