ABSTRACT

The cyst of the maxilla is rare in diseases. The cyst of the maxillary sinus can be devided into two groups ; one having relation to teeth etiologically and anatomically, and the other no relation to them. The Dentigerous cyst was first described by ""Albinus"" in 1754, and there-after many cases were reported. Recently, we have experienced a case of huge sized follicular dentigerous cyst in the left maxilla, by which the left maxillary sinus was completely invaded including the left nasal cavity. The Caldwell-Luc's operation was performed with good result. The author is reporting the case and reviews of literature on this subject.
