Statistical Analysis of Otolaryngological Findings of the Leprosy Patients

ABSTRACT

As you know, leprosy is specific infectious disease of man caused by the Mycobacterium leprae with long incubation period, a long course, exacerbation and remissions, Which usually involves primarily of the skin and mucous membrane and/or the peripheral nervous system. Generally most lepers have otolaryngological problems such as next following descriptions. This analysis was carried out to know how many patients were involved with otolaryngological lesion, who admitted in Wilson's Leprosy Colony. Though small number, 155 cases were studied statistically for sex, age, symtomatology, signs and their characteristics.
