ABSTRACT

Choanal polyp usually occurs during the first two decades, most commonly the second decade, in association with bacterial allergy. The prominent symptom is nasal obstruction, often accompanied by some evidence of sinus infection. The author has recently experienced huge choanal polyps in two young Korean girls. One polyp weighing 48 gm, the other 31 gm were removed by means of transoral approach under the general anesthesia. Both cases were proved to be fibrous polyp microscopically.
