ABSTRACT |
A sebaceous cyst of the larynx is rarely seen in the field of Otolaryngology and there is no reported case in Korea. The laryngeal cyst is found in the epiglottis, valecula, free margin of vocal cord and the aryepiglottic fold, etc. The most common sites are the epiglottis or valecular region. The authors have experienced a case of 33-years old female with chief complaints of small egg sized lump behind the left side of the tongue since one week before. The cystic mass was removed and the histopathological examination revealed a typical feature of a sebaceous cyst of the larynx. A case of the laryngeal sebaceous cyst is reported with reviews of the literature.
