One Case of Metastatic Carcinoma on Right Ear Canal from Hepatoma

ABSTRACT

Authors experienced recently a case of single corn sized pale pinkish polypoid mass on the postero-lateral right external auditory canal wall in 59 years old male who had chief complaint of otorrhea for one month, otalgia for one week and hearing impairment for about four months. A polypoid mass was removed by surgical resection which was confirmed metastatic carcinoma on ear canal contained with liver cell microscopically. This patient had diagnosed as perceptive hearing loss on audiogram without abnormalities of external ear at otolaryngological dept. and liver cirrhosis with hepatoma on liver scanning, aspiration pneumonia on chest X-ray and essential hypertension during admission at medical dept. about four months ago.
