ABSTRACT

Nevus was a small, flat, elevated or pedunculated tumor of the skin, pigmented or nonpigmented and with or without hair growth, characterized by a specific type of cell. In intradermal nevi, the nevus cells are confined entirely to the dermis but completely intradermal nevi are rare ; on serial sectioning nearly all intradermal nevi, with the exception of the neural nevi, show at least a few areas of junctional activity. The authors have experienced a case of intradermal nevus originated in the skin of the external auditory canal in a 36-year-old male who had chief complaint of fullness in the left ear for about 6 years. This is the report of the case with review of the literature.
