A Case of Large Pedunculated Granuloma Pyogenicum

ABSTRACT

The auther experienced one case of large peduculated granuloma pyogenicum of the tongue, but granuloma pyogenicum is a common lesion in otolaryngological field. Such granuloma pyogenicum often grow rapidly, ulcerated and can be misdiagnosed as a malignancy. Local factors such as gingivitis, trauma from dentures and systemic factors such as the effect of pregnancy were frequently associated. Surgical excision is curative.
