This survey was done from March through June, 1981. The following results were obtained from this study. Otitis media was detected in 4.6% of the population studied. Serous otitis media was observed more often in the age group of under the 15 year old with 2.04%, and chronic otitis media was more frequent over 35 year old group with 6.2%. In chronic otitis media, cholesteatoma type was 12%, active type was 36%, and perforated type was 70%.
