A Case of Laryngeal Granuloma Following Endotracheal Anesthesia

ABSTRACT

The authors recently experienced a case of laryngeal granuloma. The patient, 30-year-old woman, received C-section for delivery under general anesthesia with endotracheal intubation on June 25, 1984. On November 6, 1984, she visited our ENT out patients department with the chief complaint of progressive hoarseness followed by endotracheal anesthesia. The tumor mass was located on the posterior part of the Rt. vocal cord, which was reddish, smooth surfaced, movable and bean-sized. The tumor mass was removed with the laryngeal snare and forceps under suspension laryngoscopy with topical anesthesia without intubation.
