ABSTRACT

Opsoclonus is a term used to describe spontaneous, nonrhythmic, multidirectional chaotic movements of the eyes. The term was introduced by Orzechowski in 1913, in nonepidemic encephalitis. There are often concurrent myoclonic jerks of the face, trunk, and extremities. We recently have experienced a case of opsoclonus with polymyoclonia and report it with review of the literatures.
