Schwannoma is a benign neoplasm originating from the nerve sheath. Although it frequently occurs in head and neck, schwannoma of the oral cavity is rare. In world literature, 152 cases were reported by 1977 and 22 cases were reported by 1984 in Korea. The author reviewed the literature and reports a schwannoma of the soft palate.
