ABSTRACT

The authors reviewed forty-two cases of parotid tumors, operated in National Medical Center for recent ten years(1976-1985). All the tumor-like lesions were excluded. We studied clinico-statistical characteristics about seven points of view. 1) the ratio of malignant & benign tumors, and the most frequent tumor. 2) age, sex and incidence of each tumor. 3) duration of symptom. 4) distribution of main symptoms and stage of malignant tumors. 5) accuracy of aspiration biopsy. 6) evaluation of frozen section biopsy. 7) method of operation, rate of recurrence and complications.
