Mucoepidermoid carcinoma is a salivary gland tumor and frequently involves the parotid gland. But, this can develop in the minor salivary gland at any site of upper respiratory tract and upper digestive tract. Especially laryngeal mucoepidermoid carcinoma is very rare and has the histopathological characteristics. Recently the authors had experienced 1 case of laryngeal mucoepidermoid carcinoma and the patient is under the follow-up after surgical excision.
