ABSTRACT

Branchiogenic carcinoma is a very rare malignant tumor originating from branchial remnant and since 1950 when Martin et al. made the diagnostic criteria for branchiogenic carcinoma there have been only a few cases of this disease being reported. Recently we removed completely a tumor mass from the carotid triangle of a 59-year-old male patient by radical neck dissection. Therefore we are reporting by surgical and pathohistologic observation that we have with the help of radiotherapy treated branchiogenic carcinoma in branchial cyst arising from the second branchial arch.
