A Case of Cyst of the Infratemporal Fossa

ABSTRACT

Tumors of the infratemporal fossa are uncommon, Furthermore cyst of the infratemporal fossa is rare. The infratemporal fossa is a potential space lies below the base of the skull deep to the ascending ramus of the mandible. Shaped like an inverted pyramid, it has a roof, anterior, lateral, medial and posterior wall and an inferior apex. We present a case of cyst of the infratemporal fossa, which was treated with surgical drainage by transantral approach and a review of literatures.
