Vocal polyp is the most common benign lesion of the larynx. It is usually small in size because it is easily detected due to its early developing symptoms. We recently experienced a huge vocal polyp arised from ant. one third of Rt. vocal cord which was small finger tip sized, 1.5×1.3×0.8cm, 800mg, pedunculated tumor mass moving up and down concomitantly with the respiratory movement. The patient was 69-year-old female with complaint of hoarseness and intermittent respiratory difficulty for about 6 years. Before removal of the polyp by direct laryngoscope, tracheotomy was done in sitting position because of aggrevating dyspnea in supine position.
