ABSTRACT

Functional endoscopic sinus surgery(FESS) is a new treatment mathod for chronic sinus diseases. Although several reports have shown the results of FESS, little has appeared about its long term results. One hundred and twenty six patients who have undergone sinus surgery(bilateral 252 procedures) for nasal polyposis and chronic sinusitis were reviewed in this study. In six cases simultaneous septoplasty was performed. We evaluated preoperative symptoms, previous medical history, radiologic findings, extent of operation and long term results of sinus surgery.

Keywords: FESSLong term results.
