Isolated preauricular sinus is a common congenital abnormality and in most cases has no symptoms apart from occasional infection. Branchial sinus is not uncommon and requires excision because of frequent infection. Branchial sinus and preauricular sinus can occur in the same individual, but their association with hearing loss is very rare. Recently, we experienced three cases of children with preauricular pit, branchial sinus, and hearing loss. One of the children is associated with other anomalies.
