A Case of Cylindroma on the Tongue Base

ABSTRACT

The author has experienced a case of cylindroma arising from base of the tongue and vallecula. A 44 years old male was visited to Han-Il Hospital on march 28th 67 with chief complaints of dysphagia and egg sized swelling on the tongue base for 6 years duration. X-ray study of chest revealed coin density on the middle lobe of right lung and lower lobe of left lung. Histopathological examination revealed cylindroma. The patient was cured by Co60 radiation without surgical treatment.
