ABSTRACT

Posterior orbital cellulitis, described by Slavin and Galser in 1987, is the syndrome in which there is acute irreversible visual loss secondary to sphenoethmoidal sinusitis with minimal inflammatory orbital signs. The authors experienced a case of acute irreversible visual loss secondary to sphenoethmoiditis without any accompanying inflammatory orbital signs('Posterior Orbital Cellulitis').
