ABSTRACT

Mucoceles of the paranasal sinuses are benign, expansile, locally destructive lesions that are thought to occur secondary to obstruction of the sinus ostia. The clinical presentation of mucocele is usually dependent on the degree of involvement of adjacent structures but characteristically includes headache and ocular disturbance. Careful radiologic evaluation helps in the correct assessment of these lesions. We experienced the clinical presentation, radiologic findings and surgical treatment of 15 cases of mucoceles with a brief review of literature.
