ABSTRACT |
Lipoma of the tonsil is rare. A case of pedunculated lipoma arising from the left tonsil was accidentally discovered during endotracheal intubation for subtotal gastrectomy. He denied any symptoms in the throat and stated that he had always been healthy until the G-I symptoms were developed. After subtotal gastrectomy, he complained of slight respiratory difficulty. Ten days later after subtotal gastrectomy, the lipoma with the left tonsil was removed by means of usual tonsillectomy technique. No sign of recurrence was observed in follow-up for six months.
