ABSTRACT |
Basal cell carcinoma arising epidermis is relatively uncommon malignant neoplasm, especially in nose and mandibular angle, in the field of otolaryngology. Recently we experienced a case of basal cell carcinoma in the left mandibular angle, supposed to be metastasized from the nose where the tumor had involved and was cured by radiation therapy 10 years ago. A 46 year old man visited to our hospital on Sept. 11, 1967 with complaints of ulcerated large mass on left mandibular angle for about 5 years duration. Histopathological examinations revealed basal cell carcinoma, and patient was cured by
Cs137irradiation. The authors report this very interesting case and review literatures briefly.
