ABSTRACT |
Many cases of abductor paralysis of the larynx due to impairment of the innervation of the laryngeal recurrent nerve and various methods of surgical procedure have been reported by many
authors. We report a case of the bilateral midline abductor paralysis of the larynx with some literary reviews. A 24 year old male soldier was admitted to this hospital with the complaints of hoarsness and marked dyspnea for 6 months duration, after having a history of the shrapnel wound on the neck 10 months ago. Under endotracheal anesthesia the improved technique in the King-operation was performed.
