A Case of Middle Ear Carcinoma

ABSTRACT

The Authors experienced recently a case of rare middle ear carcinoma. A 21-year-old young man effected with O.M.P.C. for last 15 years, was admitted at Jan-21 '70 with complaints of severs headache, otalgia (left), dizziness and retroauricular swelling, developed gradually since 6 months ago. X-ray findings of the mastoid region compared with that of 6 months ago showed dense sclerosing change at left mastoid region with large radiolucent area. The lesion was removed possibly by radical mastoidectomy and biopsy revealed squamous cell carcinoma. Postop. Co60 therapy was done and at last this patient was dead.
