One Case of Neurofibroma in the Tongue

ABSTRACT

This is to present one case of neurofibroma in tongue-tip. The histogenesis of neurofibroma is not satisfactorily understood. It is gradually developing forms, multiple lesions in subcutaneous tissue and does not metastasis with possible invasive tendency and local recurrence following excision. Previously 2 cases of neurofibroma arised from tongue region have been reported in this country. Auther has recently experienced 14 year old with neurofibroma in the tongue-tip for which resection was carried out and proven biopsy for neurofibroma. No evidence of recurrence has been observed up to date.
