Salivary Retention Cysts Involving the Lower Labial Mucosa

ABSTRACT

There are many kinds of cysts involving the oral cavity. Common cysts of the oral cavity and maxilla include radicular cysts, follicular cysts, retention cysts, dermoid cysts and other cysts. The salivary retention cyst arises from any mucous gland in the mouth except the gingiva and superior surface of the tongue. Recently, author have observed two cases of salivary retention cysts involving the lower labial mucosa.
