Laryngeal papilloma, frequently seen during childhood, can be seen in adulthood as well, though in lesser frequency. For confirming the diagnosis of this benign tumor, direct laryngoscope should be applied universally for the case of children, however, indirect laryngoscope is enough in usual adult cases. It is therefore possible for even the internist make an accurate diagnosis, should they pay a little more attention
to the suspected case. In general, however, in the case of tracheal papilloma, confirming diagnosis of this tumor should rely on bronchoscope in almost every case. The author has recently experienced a tracheal papilloma who had been misdiagnosed as bronchial asthma, thus treated accordingly with the duration of 3 and
years. It is intended to recall physicians for the proper handling of this kind of case and literature survey is added.
