ABSTRACT

A case of foreign body in ethmoid sinus was observed in a 15 year old Korean boy. The air-rifle bullet entered through the right medial canthus into ethmoid sinus. This accident resulted retinal hemorrhage and retinal detachment without any otolaryngologic manifestation. Hour-glass like metal foreign body was noted in X-Ray films of the skull. Intranasal ethmoidectomy including removal of foreign body was performed under the local anesthesia.
