Clinical Survey of the Head and Neck Malignancies

이비인후과 두경부 악성종양 환자의 임상적 고찰

ABSTRACT

The author has clinically considered for 97 cases of the head and neck malignancies who had diagnosed at Taegu Presbyterian Hospital during August 1974 to July 1975 and following results were obtained. 1) Among the new out patient 4,258, 97 cases (2.3%) were diagnosed with head and neck malignancy. 2) Regional incedence was in order of nose and paranasal sinus (30), laryngx (28), pharynx (18), and oral cavity (10). 3) Carcinoma was 84 cases, sarcoma 13 cases, above 85% of malignancies was carcinoma. 4) Sex distribution was higher in males than females with a ratio 3 to 1. 5) Incidence by age group was in order of 5th decade (25%), 4th decade (24%), 6th decade (23%).
