ABSTRACT

Fibroma is the benign tumor occurring at any age and in any site of the body. It develops usually on the inner surface of the cheeks and lips, gingiva or tongue in the oral cavity. Authors experienced a 19 year old female with a terribly large mass about 9×5.5×3cm in size on the palate occupying the oral cavity to cause swallowing disturbance which was incidiously grown for about 10 years. The mass was removed under local anesthesia and confirmed as the fibroma on the histopathologic examination.
