Epidermoid Cyst of the Floor of the Mouth

ABSTRACT

An epidermoid cyst in the floor of the mouth develops from a misplaced fetal inclusion and forms a cyst. Most often it occurs shortly after birth, but on account of their slow and painless growth attract little attention until their size gives annoyance. They project into the floor of the mouth or into the neck behind the chin or both places. Recently the author had experienced two cases of epidermoid cysts on the floor of the mouth.
