Foreign body in the air passage has been found not infrequently in the field of E.N.T. and the iatrogenic as a causative factor during medical procedure have also occurred. The authors had reported such cases at the 7th Korean Bronchoesophagological Society in 1973. Though its understandable that physician would make misdiagnosis, it is quite unfortunate, however, if it happened due to a lack of interdepartmental cooperation, particuraly between department of Pediatrics and E.N.T. The authors have experienced similar cases with along with literature survey.
