ABSTRACT |
Fibrous histiocytoma are soft tissue tumor of the histiocytic origin. They are composed of fibrocyte, histiocyte in varying ratio and occasionally tumor giant cells. Reliable criteria of the histiocytic diagnosis of malignancy are few but the diagnosis of malignancy must frequently be made on clinical grounds. Surgery is the treatment of choice. Recurrence following initial surgery has been common and most recurrence are the result of inadequate primary excision. Recently author experienced a case of the low grade malignancy of fibrous histiocytoma with brief review of literature.
