ABSTRACT

Tuberculosis of the tongue is one of rare lesion caused by acid-fast bacillus, Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It has been reported to occur mostly in association with tuberculosis of some other tissues especially the lung. Tuberculosis of the tongue dose not produce any characteristic clinical menifestation and can be differentiated from other chronic infectious granulomatous or neoplastic lesions only by histopathological examination. We recently have experienced 2 cases of tuberculosis of the tongue and so report with some reviews of the literatures.
