ABSTRACT |
Synovial sarcoma is very rare, highly malignant neoplasm of mesenchymal origin, and is most cases are confined to the extremities. The neck is a very unusual and rare primary anatomic site. Author has experienced a case of synovial sarcoma in 31 years old male involving the anterior neck and hypopharynx. A large cystic tumor mass measuring 10×8cm in size was found and reddish firm and friable tumor below hyoid bone measuring 1.5×1.5cm in size was found. The deep cervical lymph node and pulmonary metastasis was found. This paper was attempted to report the case with a brief review of references.
