ABSTRACT |
Acinic cell carcinoma of the parotid gland is an uncommon, slow growing malignant tumor. It constitutes about 4 percent of all parotid tumors and 18 percent of malignant tumors in the parotid gland. Recently the authors have experiened a case of huge, recurrent acinic cell carcinoma of the right parotid gland weighing 480gm in 66 year old man involving retromaxillary space, skull base, submaxillary space, and oral and nasopharyngeal space. The patient received total parotidectomy with modified radical neck dissection, and showed postoperative facial paralysis and mild degree of trismus.
