ABSTRACT |
Foreign bodies in food and airway passages are very important and not uncommon conditions in the field of E.N.T., and practically there are many reports of them. It is accidentally occurred and is most commonly encountered in children. Recently the authors experienced 3 interesting cases of foreign bodies in the food and airway passage, and brief review of literature was made. Case 1 : (85 year-old femal), Complicated esophageal abscess due to esophageal foreign body. (chicken bone, length 3 cm). Case 2 : (13 year-old male), Tracheal foreign body with minimal symptoms. (Sharp pencil cap with pin, length 3.5 cm). Case 3 : (2 year-old male), Unusual location of foreign body. (A peanut removed from the right upper bronchus).
