ABSTRACT |
Kimura's disease is an unusual benign vascular tumor characterized clinically by solitary or multiple subcutaneous or dermal nodules, localized mainly to the scalp and face of young adults. Histopathologically, the lesions are characterized by proliferating blood vessels with atypical histiocyte-like endothelial cells, lymphatic hyperplasia, diffuse mast cell and eosinophil infiltrations of the dermis and subcutaneous tissue, as well as serum eosinophilia. We experienced a case of Kimura's disease occurring in retroauricular and upper lateral neck area on the 21 year old male patient which had been treated with surgical excision and systemic corticosteroid administration.
