ABSTRACT |
The mixed tumor was described first by Missen in 1874, since then there are so many reports. The mixed tumor is the most common benign tumor of the major salivary glands in adults, especially in parotid gland. In upper repiratory tract, its incidence is rare in order of nasal cavity, maxillary sinus and nasopharynx. Though generally similar to mixed tumor of the major salivary glands, intranasal mixed tumors differ in extent of celluarity and rate of recurrence. The authors experienced 2 cases of mixed tumor developed on the nasal septum so we report our cases with review of the related literatures.
