ABSTRACT

An expert system which supports the diagnosis of allergic rhinitis was developed. System was a kind of decision support system, and was made with the DBASE Ⅲ+ command file. Diagnosis of the allergic rhinitis was made with the function of factor analysis and discriminant analysis. Accuracy of diagnosis was 90.2%. Furthermore, the artificial intelligence technology obtained from this study may also be used in developing decision support system for diagnosis of the diseases which otolaryngologists confront daily.
