Diabetes Mellitus(DM) is a metabolic aberration that may be associated with bilateral high frequency sensorineural hearing loss or with the symptoms of Meniere' syndrome. There is some controversy about DM as a cause of hearing loss. We examined hearing level in 50 patients with adult-onset DM. Date were analyzed according to age, sex, and were compared with values of Jatho's study and control group with review of duration, severity and complications of adult onset DM. We could not fine significant difference in hearing thresholds in adult-onset DM compared with a control population group.
