ABSTRACT

Tumors originating in the parapharyngeal space are rare, comprising only 0.5% of head and neck neoplasia. Approximately 80% of parapharyngeal tumors are benign and 20% are malignant. Pleomorphic adenoma has been the most common tumor in series of parapharyngeal space lesions, composing 26% to 43% of these masses. Recently, we experienced a case of pleomorphic adenoma of the parapharyngeal space. So, we report the case with review of literatures.
