ABSTRACT

Tumors of the lacrimal sac are relatively rare although epithelial tumors are the most common neoplasm. The common clinical presentations are intermittent epiphora, sanguineous discharge, or irreducible medial canthal mass. To our knowledge, there have been 1 case of transitional cell carcinoma and 1 case of mucoepidermoid tumor of the lacrimal sac in Korean literature. The authors have experienced 2 cases of squamous cell carcinoma, 1 case of transitional cell carcinoma cell and 1 case of solitary fibrous tumor. Especially, the solitary fibrous tumor is a rare benign tumor that has been reported in pleura, peritoneum, and upper repiratory tract, but any case of this tumor in the lacrimal sac has not been reported. We reported 4 cases of lacrimal sac tumor with literature review.
