ABSTRACT |
The use of rigid endoscope in the management of posterior choanal atresia represents a significant abvancement in choanal surgery. It provides an extremely sharp image with a magnified overview. So that the atretic plate is removed safely under direct endoscopic vision. It ensures greater precision in flap preservation. The technique is short in time and safe, with early recovery and short hospitalization. The authors have experiened a case of unilateral congenital atresia with good result by endoscopic transnasal approach.
